Modified Macintosh and Fildes pattern has all metal construction consisting of a S.S. Jarwith a top flangs recessed for a thyroidal rubber sealing ring and a cover held in place by a strong bridge clamp. The cover is fitted with two needle valves for evaluation and a sachet containing a catalyst. A side arm on the jar is rovided for connecting to Semisolid Lucas Indicator. (The unit is supplied without Semi-Solid Lucas Indicator). Supplied complete with pressure-cum-vacuum gauge.

Vacuum Pumps are mounted on a heavy steel base plate, and have a wide range of oil sealed pumps. Fitted with heavy duty electric motor, all pumps are V-Belt driven at a speed of 1400 RPM. Pumps are fabricated out of high grade cast iron and are worked on sophisticated machines to give accuracy in microns, thus leading to very high sustained vacuum. Supplied in single stage or double stage models. All vacuum pumps are fitted with belt guard, vacuum gauge as a standard feature. To work on 220/230 voltsA.C. Supply.

It is a double stage pump to create vacuum through a diaphragm, where continues operations are required without the fear of sample contaminations through oil vapours where even a slightest Environment contamination through oil mist is forbidded. To work on 220/230 volts A.C.

Melting point is displayed on the 3Y> digit mounted on the front panel, The instrument basically consists of a miniature furnace with controllable heating rate arrangement, an air circulating arrangement and a digital temp. indicating circuitry with necessary controls, Temp. at the melting point is latched on the digital display and the furnace is automatically cut-off. The rate of rise in temp. can be precisely controlled by a knob on the front panel. The instrument gives audio & visual indications, on reaching the temp. at which the sample melts. The temp. indicating point of the sample remains displayed on the panel till the clear press switch marked "CLEAR" is operated. The range of the instruments is 40°C to 350°C. Readability is 1.0°C with accuracy of :t 1°C. The unit works on 230 Volts / 50Hz. A.C.

For determination of melting points upto 350°C. The mounted block is illuminated from below by a lamp fixed in its housing. The aluminium block accept three capillary tubes and mercury thermometer. The temp. is regulated by energy regulator fitted to the unit. The lamp. provides uniform and shadow lessregulator fitted to the unit. Supplied without capillary tubes and thermometer.

The body is made of P.C.R.C. sheet duly powder coated paint. The top cast iron heating plate is round having 20 cm. Dia, with heating elements of 1.5 kw rating. Temperature is controlled by energy regulator upto 350°C.
