It cuts section in steps of 10 microns. Supplied with a piano concave razor, table clamping device for fixing the microtome.

It can cut sections of tissues from 2-24 microns in steps of 2 microns each. Supplied with knife with handle in a box and 3 block holders.

Mounted on heavy cast iron based fitted with a ball and flange type object holder to get exact of specimen. Provided with knife holder and is forced from fine grain tool steel. It has Section thickness setting from 0.5 - 60um out of which, from 0-2um in 0.5um steps, from 2-10um in 1 um steps, from 10-20um in 2um steps, from 20-60um in 5um steps. It is compact surdy with ergonomic design with precision specimen feeding, smooth running and wheel with dual locking system. Section thickness can be done minimum upto 0.5um with visual display indication. Horizontal specimen feed is of approx. 28mm with vertical specimen stroke length 60mm., specimen orientation 8 degree Supplied with 1 no. rotary microtome knife of 160 mm.

Sledge microtomes are designed for cutting large blocks of parafinn and resin embedded material for light microscopy. The knife holding clamps allow the knife to be offset to the direction of the cut, a major advantage when sectioning large, hard blocks.
